Intimate with an Inanimate

I was at the glorius, online-only magazine Jezebel, when I saw the headline, Objectum Sexuality: When Relationships With Inanimate Objects Become Intimate. And I have to say, it is something out there. I was completely engrossed with the article and brief (~40 min) documentary:Strange Love: Married to the Eiffel Tower regarding this subject.
Objectum Sexuality or OS persons are people are in love with objects such as bow, fences, the Berlin Wall, the Eiffel Tower or a 40 ft high amusement park ride. And these women (yes, of the 40 or so people who identify as OS, they all are women) love their objects, as in will physically make love to it.
It seems completely crazy and ridiculous, but when you watch the documentary, you see how these women truly believe that the relationship is reciprocated. As in, the Eiffel Tower loves them back. The women don't view the objects as lifeless; they have genders, personalities, names and emotions.
Okay, it's probably still sounding ridiculous, but watch the documentary. You'll see that they're (sort-of) normal. One of the most poignant interviews is with Erika's archery coach--who says when he first realized that Erika loved her bow, Lance, he thought it was weird. Really weird. But he also had developed a friendship/mentorship with Erika and knew that she was just as normal as the rest of us. And that's what I find quite amazing, is that OS people are probably just as normal as anyone else on the street and yet they have this love and sex that is so damn different, I can hardly wrap my head around it.
Also a cool side note... Erika loves her bow (as in bow and arrows, archery), Lance. Erika won dozens of national competitions, became the 2004 World Champion archer, has 21 world records. I mean the WORLD Champion! What has your love for your schmuck boyfriend or girlfriend motivated you to do lately?
It's truly fascinating and you should go read the article and then check out the documentary.

Then I arrived on the scene.
She also needed to get over her previous relationship.
It was with a bridge.
No wonder I'm so insecure about my size.
